The assignment was to multipurpose actual iPhone 6 shots to billboards, bus shelters, backlights, you name it. The iPhone 6 truly does take amazing photos but what it doesn’t do is make them print ready. The problem? iPhone shots are RGB and printing is CMYK. And low resolution was an issue since the shots had to be drastically enlarged for final use. We matched Epson outputs to actual iPhone screens, literally holding the device against the proof to ensure color integrity. It’s kind of fun to see your work fifty feet high on the side of a building next to the freeway.
