Print, Web, Point of Sale
Car season at an agency is one part formulaic and ten parts make it up as you go. Volkswagen is no exception. As model years are updated, information could come from anywhere. Germany, older files, sketches, even resorting to photographs of someone’s Tiguan in the agency parking lot. We’d take parts from one shot and transfer to another or just push around pixels and make it from scratch. We rebuilt fenders, switched headlights, updated cloth – no make that leather – no wait, I mean cloth – interiors, changed paint colors and adjusted badging. Print to web, web to print. And in between, we built tacos for Taco Bell, added and subtracted talent for Target, moved mozzarella for Pizza Hut, and pulled any manner of rabbits out of imaginary hats.

From concept to sketches, then 3D renders, to reality?
Is it real or is it a render? Virtually impossible to tell with our virtual prowess.
Volkswagen cars rendered into photographic backplates brings down the expense of transporting automobiles and their accompanying support retinue to a remote location, red tape of securing permits, saving time, which all translates into big savings for the client.
Update model years into existing photography.
